In a unexpected partnership that breaks traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Uncovered

According to the formal statement, "A mysterious meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of forbidden rituals and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine group.

The mission centers on "bizarre trials and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Transformations

The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Extra Features

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an special katana in addition to several objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
